light textures

I love to layer, and unfortunately Michigan summers can be too hot for layers at times. When I can layer in the summer it's important for me to keep it light and mix up the textures. I mixed up a light silk top with a light weight sparkly cardi and for more texture I added these thrifted cut-offs.
Oh, and one other thing about this outfit, the majority of it was thrifted (with the exception of the necklace) and cost under $20! Can you believe that? I do love a good deal. An outfit can feel more like a success after a good long hunt and bargain.

(shorts and shirt: thrifted / cardi: thrifted (Gap) / necklace: AKA / bracelets: vintage, J.Crew / nail polish: "OPI Red")

  2. Lovely, you are so cute :)

Your hair reminds me so much of my hair when it was long, I would put it up on a messy pony tail, and leave some of the hair at the front and sides out just like yours. I miss my long hair now -sigh

  3. Actually Good Will and Salvation Army are my favorite places to thrift. There is such a variety it's fun to go in and search for anything that could add to your wardrobe.

p.s. hair tutorials will be coming soon.
